There are a couple of rules to good graphic design in display advertising. Make sure a strong headline jumps off the page. Don’t be afraid of white space. People’s eyes travel in a left to right arc, and so on.

But perhaps the most important rule is to make sure the graphic designer you choose has an innate understanding of what works, and what doesn’t in terms of newspaper and magazine advertising. And you guessed it, that’s us!
